Abstract :In this study, the relationship between educational stress, school burnout and school alienation were analysed depending on the views of secondary school students. The study group was composed of 652 students attending to nine different secondary schools in the province of Ankara in the second semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. The data were collected with the Education Stress Scale (ESS), the School Burnout Scale (SBS) and the School Alienation Scale (SAS). The data collected from the participants were analysed by using descriptive statistics such as arithmetic mean and standard deviation, as well as confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed a significant correlation between education stress, school burnout and school alienation. The results of regression analysis showed that educational stress and school burnout were significant predictors of school alienation. As the findings were assessed as a whole, it was reached that both experiences of the students on education stress and school burnout are important factors for their school alienation.Keywords : "Educational stress, school burnout, school alienation, secondary school students
