Abstract :The aim of this paper is to empirically test a model that links non-economic factors such as democracy and bureaucracy to corruption in a cross section of 68 developing countries. By using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and Weighted Least Squares (WLS) methods, the empirical findings of this paper suggest that Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index (CPI) is negatively associated with democracy and positively associated with bureaucracy. Keywords :
