Abstract :ÖZET T. W. SuI:lil'80 (3) Kasaplık civciv rasyonlarında ek proteinin üç ayrı sağlanış şeklini karşılaştırmak (hepsinin soya küspesi ile; yarısmın soya küspesi diğer yarısının gossipolü alınmış pamuk tohumu küspesi ile; yarısının soya küspesi diğer yarısının düşük kaliteli prese ayçiçeği ,kiispesi ile), bu kaynakları iki düzeyde (O ve-%0.25) lisin ve iki düzeyde (O ve %0.10) metiyo- nin ile takviye etmeye kasaplık civcivlerin göstereceği reaksiyonu tespit etmek için 3 x 2 x 2 faktöriyel desene uygun bir deneme yapılmıştır. SUMMARY Degossypolized Cottonseed Meal and Low Quality Sunflower Meal Replacements for Soybean Meal in Broiler Rations A 3x2x2 factoriaI experiment was . conducted in order to compare three differen't ways of furnishing suppIemental protein -(all soybean meal, 50 Xsoybean meal - 50 %degossypolized -coftonseed meat; 30 % sayhean meal 50 Low quality expelIer sunflower meal) in broiler rations, and, to determin~ the response-of br.oilers to the two levels of L-Iysine (0.00 and 0.25 %),_ and the two added levels of L-methioniı; ıe. Crude protein and crude fiber contents of suı.af1ower meal. were31 %and % ıı respectively. Degossypolized cottonseed meal contained 0.0097 % free gı;>ssypol. AU basal dids used in this experiment were balanced in all nutrients except in essentaial amino acids. Three" hundred and sixty day - old .Cobbs x Cobbs-chicks were llSed and the experiment lırsted in 28 days. Furnishing 50 % of the supple1emental protein with low quality sunf~ lower meal significant1y reduced body weight, feed" consumption' and f:eedl ga.jn ratios (P < 0.0.5). There was not any si'gnificant difference between furnishing all supplemental protein with soyb ean meal and 50 %of the supplemental protein with degossypolized cot-' tonseed meal and 50 % of it with soybean meal. Groups recevied basal rations suplemented with 0.25 % LIysiı: e (714 gm) obtained significantly higher (P < 0.05) body weight than those groups recieved basal rations Wıthout L-Iysine supplementation (696 gm). However, the difference (l8 gm) was not important in practice. Interaction between added methionine and supplemental protein sources was significantly (P < 0.05) effective on body weight. Addi~on. of O. i % L-' methionine increased body weight in groups fed only soybean meal as supplemental protein source, but it decreased body weight in those groups fed 50 % soyhean meal - 40 % degossypolized cottonseed meal as supplemen-tal protein source. Therefore it was coneluded that . at least 50 % of the supplemental protein in a soybean - cörn broiler ration can be furnished wİth degossypoHzed cottor:ı~eed meal without any amino acid supplementation, but it is not recommended to furnish 50 % of the supplemental protein in soybeancom broiler rations with low quality expeller sunflower meal. The adetition of L-Iysine and/or L - illetlıionine to this basal diet did not re store bocly weight, feed consuı;p.ption and feed/ gain ratio. Keywords :
