Abstract :ÖZET: Değişik gün uzunluğu ve sıcaklık derecelerinİn korungalarm kök, gövde ağırlığı, dal sayısı, yaprak alanı, toplam yapısalolmayankarbonhidratlar (TNC) ve yeşil bitki kısımlarındaki Nitrogen (N) oranına etkileri. SUMMARY The Effects of Different Photoperiod and Temperature Rejimes on The Weights of Top and Root growth of Sainfoin This experiment war condneted to study the effects of dıfferent photopenod and temperature rejimes on the weiglıts of top and root growtn of sainfoin. N1!lmbers of stems, leaf area non struetural carbohydrates (TNe) in the roats and N. cantent of the top growth of sainfoin were alsa analized. This study was conducted at Agronomy Department of Nebraska University, U.S.A. in 1973. A Factorial completely randomıred design wasset up on forthy days old seedling of sainfoi'n, with three replieations for each treatment. İn the Experiment, 32/24 cC (day fnight), 24/16 oC, 16/8 oC temperatures with 12 and 18 hours daylengths combinations were appIied. The materiat was Eski sainfoin which were obtained Üniversity of Montana. The experiment period was six weeks The and of the each week, three pods of sainıoın seedling for each treatments c1ipped at the soil surfaee level and counted mumber of stems, measured leaf areas with an area meter, and dried 78 oC for top weight, and grounda wmey mill for N analiting. RQots were' washed carefuIly, dricd at 100 oC for two, and 78 ;C for 24 hours; ground and anaIized TNC with usug Clacase 900. The Fol1owing results were obta. ined From this experiment; 1.No ınatter different' daylengths or temperatures but in advance to c1ipping time; increased dry matter weight of top and root, number of stems, and leaf area of sainfoin seedling. But deereased level of N content in the top and TNC did not show a linear trend. . 2. Since the seedling of sainfoin under the long day (i 8 hrs.) conilltions had synthesizedmeteriol longer period, increased dry matter weight of top and root and number of stems, leaf area, TNC in the roots and N İn the tops of sainfoin seedling. 3. Since more injury of two dotted spider .fnites on warm temperatures (32/24,24/16 "C) and sainfoin is a cool season legume as a alp plant, dry matter weight of top and root, number of stems leaf area, TNC İn the root, N in the top of sainfoin .seedling were increased by appJing eool temperature rejim (16/8 oc). 4. Sainfoin could proınise to plani at early month of autum and high altitude but need further experiments. Keywords :
