Abstract :ÖZET Atatürk Universitesi Erzurum Tarım İş/etmesinden alınan PaIandöken çab"ı tım ve Kan siitli tını toprak örnekleri üzerinde yürütülen bu çalışmanın amacı sera koşulları altında Endogone mosseae mantarı ile aşıiamanm Sakız soğanmm gelişmesine ve topraktan kaldırdığı fosfor miktarına etki durumuf!uaraştırmaktır. SUMMARY THE EFFECTS OF (VA) MYCORRHİZA ON THE GROWTH AND PHOSPHORUS-UPTAKE OF ONİoN PLANT (Allinm cepa) GROWN ON THE ERZURUM KAN SİLTY LOAM AND PALANDÖKEN GRAVELLY LOAM,. The object of this study is to examine effects of inoculation with a species of Endogone fungi, Le., E. mosseae, on the growth and phoshorus-uptake of the onion plants grown on the samples of Kan sı1ty loam and Palandöken gravelly 10am soils col1ected from the fields of Erzurum Atatürk 1 20 University Farm. The experiment was carried out under glasshouse con! lons. The treatments used in this experiment are as foL1ows : inoculation, Mazıdağı rock phosphate. (total phosphorus 9.77 % PıOs) in a single dose (3000 kg:ha) and simple. super phosphate (16-18 % P ıO s) which is alsa in a single dose (120 kg PıOs / ha) along with the controls, and a 2x2x3 completely randomised factorial design with five repHcations was employed. The conclusions drawn from this study are as follows; 1- In bcth experimental soils which have not received any phosphorus, the inocwated plants showed increasses in the aU growth responses (plant heights. wet and oven dry weights, ppm. P and mg. P/plant) as compared to to those of the uninocul~ted plants. 2- For both soils which have received rock phosphate, it was statisticaUy found that the inoculated . onion plants gave higher growth responses than those of the uninoeulated plants.~ 3- it was found that the inoculation with E. mosseae was inefficient in increasing growth responses of the plant·s grown in both soils which have received simple super phosp hate. Keywords :
