Abstract :ÖZET Araştırma topraklarında, toplam, organik, inorganik (kalsiyum, demir, aluminyum ve hapsedilmiş fasfatlar) fosfor miktarları ile toprakların çeşitli kimyasal ekstraksiyon metodları ve Neil.bauer metoduna göre ihtiva ettikleri fosfor göz önüne alınarak aşağıda gösterilen sonuçlara varılmıştır. SUMMARY STUDIES ON SOIL PHOSPHORUS OF BAYBURT, ERZINCAN AND RIZE SOILS The object of this 'study was to seperate total, organic and available phos-phorus of thE:! soil groups developeci under different elimatic condÜions and different parent'materials. Each of the three localities were represented with 16, 18 and 17 surface (~30 cm. depth) soil samples respectively. Total phosphorus was deter" mined by digestion with % 72 HCI04 according to Sheman (1942) method, organic phosphorus was determined by the method of Legg and Blaok (1955) 'and rea'dily available phosphorus of the so.ils was determined according to Neubauer (1923) method by using oat as an indicator plant. On the other hand, we applied seven different ehemical' extraction metlıods (Bray-I, Bray-2, OLsen, Kacar, Bingham, Chumaehenko and Weltch). For inorganic phosphorus fractions the soils were extracted . with 1 N NaCı, 0.5 N NH4F, 0.1 N NaOH, Nacitr: He-dithionite and 0.5 N HıS04 to seperate loosely bound·P, aluminum phosphate, iron phosphate, occluded phosphateand calcium phosphate respectively (Ghang and Jackson 1957. Peterson and Corey 1966). Phosphorus in all extraots (except total) were determined colorimetrical1y by using mölybdenum blue color method and ascorbic acid as areducing ageııt. Bayburt and Erzincan soils were alkaline in soil reactiori while Rize soils were acide. Rize soils did not contain carbonates and They contained much more organic matter than Bayburt and Erzincan soils. Total phosphorus of Baybıırıt, Erzincan and Rize soils were (median) 641, 529 and 606 ppm respectively. In Bayburt and Erzincan soils dominant inorganic phosphorus fraotion was CaP wihil:e occluded and iron phosphate were dominant in Rize acid soils. W-e can conclude that Rize soils were highly weathered soils than Bayburt and Erzincan soils, In aU the soil groups, Al-P and Ca-P fractions were signifi. cantly correlated with P uptake by oat. So these inorganic phosphorus fractions represent plant availaıble phosphorus in these areas. Wc obtained possitive and sigoificant relationships betweeıı P uptake and acid-noride extrac· tions methods (whioh were Bray. 1, Bray-2 and Kacar in the study), On the other hand, Al~P fraction was highly oorrelated with re· sults obtained by acid-Rotide eK' traction methods in all soils. Wı;; couid not faund any good cortelation between Ca-P fr
