Abstract :Alfred Hitchcock has left us with an incredible legacy of outstanding films. Traditionally regarded as a master of flawlessly edited, fast-paced suspense movies that make the audience's hair stand on end, Hitchcock's work has also been met with considerable critical acclaim. The groundbreaking studies by Lindsay Anderson, Jean Domarchi and Eric Rohmer/Claude Chabrol initiated a critical discourse that has not come to a standstill.
