Abstract :800x600 800x600 With their specific beliefs, conception of worship and social life, alawism is a fact of Turkey. Although Mus-Varto alawism overlaps with the understanding of the basic principles of traditional Alawism in general, some slight differences have been observed in cities and rural areas. In city centers traditional Turkish life styles has to some extent been changed. It goes without saying that the current conditions, historical experiences, asimilations, political and cultural factos played their own roles in this change. In this paper Varto alawism is analyzed in terms of how they have transformed themselves in terms of social change in modern times.
