Abstract :Aim: The aim of the study was to clarify life experiences of women diagnosed with gynecological cancer and their transition process and changes in life post-diagnosis. materials and Methods: The qualitative study was conducted with nine women who were admitted to the Akdeniz University gynecology service between February and April 2017 and who were diagnosed with gynecological cancer. Research data was collected using semi-structured interview form.Results: The research findings were collected in four themes: meeting with cancer, confrontation with cancer, psychosocial situations during transition and learning to living with cancer. Some themes have sub-themes.conclusion: It has been determined that getting a gynecological cancer diagnosis deeply affects patients, many of them are caused by a change in family relations, and it is difficult to confront cancer symptoms
