Abstract :Purpose:To determine the work-family conflict level of married nurses working in family health centers and the factors affecting this level. Patients and Methods:This cross-sectional study was conducted in 26 family health centers in İzmir. The volunteer nurses n=103 formed the sample of the study with the improbable sampling method participation rate=95,37% . The data were collected using the work-family conflict, family-work conflict scale and a questionnaire form containing 20 questions prepared by the researchers by examining the literature. The number-percentage, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests and correlation analysis were used to analyze the data.Results:It was found out that the average age of the nurses was 38.17±5.32, 56.3% of them graduated from an undergraduate program and 97.1% had children. It was determined that the nurses worked for 17.90±5.49 years on average, 96.1% of them were not satisfied with their salary, and their satisfaction from the units where they worked was at the medium level. The work-family conflict scale total mean score of the nurses was found to be 29.70±5.38. It was determined that the work to family conflict levels of the nurses were affected by being satisfied with the salary, satisfaction level, working year and education level, and family to work conflict level was only statistically significantly affected by the variables of being satisfied with the salary obtained and level of satisfaction with their work. Conclusion:It was determined that nurses were experiencing work to family conflict more when compared to the family to work conflict. It was also found out that work and family conflict levels of the nurses who were satisfied with the salary they obtained, whose level of satisfaction with their work was high and whose working year were less were lowKeywords : work-family conflict, nurse, family health center
