Abstract :Aim: Headache and migraine are common health problems in children as in adults. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the prevalence of migraine and influencing sociodemographic factors in children aging 11-15 years old which is that in this age group migraine reaches peaks in children. Materials and methods: In this retrospective study, 320 children who were admitted to neurology and neurosurgery clinics between 2011 and 2012 with the complaint of headache were examined for migraine prevalence and influencing sociodemographic factors. Results: The study included a total of 320 patients. 250 of them were male and 70 were female. 12 3.75% patients were diagnosed with migraine. Statistically significant difference was detected between migraine prevalence and source of livelihood for the family, family history, and school and family problems.
