Abstract :Various malignancies, primary immune deficiency, HIV/AIDS, organ / bone marrow transplantation, corticosteroids, immunosuppressive agents and the use of some drugs lead to the weakening of the immune system and prepare the ground for pneumocyctis jeruvici pneumonia. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole TMP-SMX is used in pneumocyctis jeruvici pneumonia. Type IV renal tubular acidosis RTA due to TMP that used in treatment is rare.
