Abstract :Clear cell sarcoma is a very rare tumor that is intimately associated with tendons and aponeuroses. Females are affected more commonly than males, and the patients are usually between 20 and 40 years of age. The typical sites for clear cell sarcoma are the limbs, especially the foot and ankle region. It is a highly malignant tumor that usually requires wide or radical excision. A case of a clear cell sarcoma in the anteromedial aspect of the left foot of a 52-yearold woman is described. Clinical and radiologic presentation and histologic evaluation of clear cell sarcoma is discussed, in order to make a differential diagnosis between this rare tumor and other soft tissue tumors. In addition, the treatment principles of the tumor are identified. This case demonstrates that clear cell sarcoma can be difficult to diagnose without histologic evaluation and, once diagnosed, should be treated by adequate surgical excision in order to prevent recurrence and distant metastasesKeywords : clear cell sarcoma, surgical excision
