Abstract :800x600 The purpose of this article is to determine the place of Shams al-Din al-Shahrazûrî (d. After 687/1288) within the Islamic Philosophy in general and Illuminationist Philosophy in particular. In order to fulfill this aim we will try to examine his position in relation to Peripatetic Muslim Philosophers and his master Suhrawardi in terms of resemblances and differences about the philosophical subjects, like the relation between rational and Illuminationist knowledge, soul- body relations (particularly Tanasukh which means migration of the soul), the emanation cosmology and its applications in both Peripatetic and Illuminationist Philosophy.
