Abstract :1-(2-Chloro-benzoyl)-3-p-tolyl-thiourea was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. It crystalizes in the triclinic space group P-1, with a = 7.9942(9) Å, b = 9.531(1) Å, c = 11.075(1) Å, a = 97.235(2) °, b = 111.099(2) °, and g = 106.105(2) °.Keywords : Thioureas, X-ray structures, benzoylthiourea
