Forecasting of the Long-Term Allowable Cut for the Akçasu Forestry Enterprise

Abstract :The long-term allowable cut was ensured using data of Forest Menegement Plan of the Akçasu Forest enterprise. In addition, actuel forest state was approximated to an optimal forest state within different rotation age. Three forest management units were established. A linear programming model was developed on used to test three different strategies for the black pine and beech management unit and five different strategies for the oak management unit. For the first period, the regeneration, afforestation area, allowable cut and total cut was 210.0 and 341.0 hectar, 58546.0 m 3 and 1764516 m 3 , respectively.
