Abstract :The poetry of Paul Celan, according to Ingeborg Bachmann, is of great personal and poetic importance. The recent research reveals that the emotional relationship of the authors is accompanied by intertextuality of their works. For instance, Celan’s impact on Bachmann’s volume of poems entitled "Die gestundete Zeit” (1953) cannot be denied; it was particularly strong in the case of the poem which has a representative status within the poetry book, for which it also provides its title. In the following article, the text of "Die gestundete Zeit” is read in the light of Celan’s poems "Todesfuge” and "Corona”. Such a reading would reify the hypothesis that an intertextual analysis of Bachmann’s and Celan’s above mentioned texts reveals three important, but relatively obscure, aspects of "Die gestundete Zeit”, namely (1) Bachmann’s view on fascism the poem is based on; (2) the victim problematic; and (3) the utopian implications of the text. These points form, so to speak, an independent message which is to be decoded in this investigation. Keywords : İngeborg Bachmann, Paul Celan, Metinlerarasılık, Faşizm, Kurban, Ütopie
