Abstract :Rubbers are elastomeric polymers that are not cross-linked but can be cross-linked. In the industrial field, there are tapes, hoses, belts, vehicle tires, gaskets (sealing) and various parts produced from rubber. Ethylene Propylene Diene (EPDM) and Acrylonitrile-butadiene Rubber (NBR) are the preferred rubbers that can meet the needs in their usage areas. In this study, different hardness recipes were designed using EPDM and NBR rubbers. The designed recipes were mixed under the same conditions and vulcanized under certain conditions. Rheological and flow tests were performed on the obtained rubber test plates and their physical and mechanical values were analyzed. According to the results, as the hardness increased, vulcanization time decreased and flow deteriorated. In addition, tensile strength, tear and density values increased and elongation decreased. When physical values were analyzed, it was found that dimensional change decreased with increasing hardness. When the polymer change is examined, it is seen that the dimensional change in NBR rubber is higher than EPDM rubber. When the effect of different temperatures on the change is examined, the change increases as the vulcanization temperature increases. When the products were aged under temperature for a long time, it was found that the change increased in both rubber types. Keywords : EPDM, NBR, Mechanical properties, physical properties, vulcanization temperature
