Abstract :The aim of this research is to detemine the relationship between physical education teachers’ leadership styles and assertiveness. Research, education in the academic year 2015-2016 in Kayseri working, ranging from 25-53 years, men and women, a total of a hundred and fortythree volunteers participated in a physical education teachers. For this purpose "Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire-MLQ 5X3” which was developed by Bernard Bass ve Bruce Avolio (1995) and "Rathus Assertiveness Inventory” which was developed by Rathus S. (1973). For analysis of the data, t test, ANOVA test, Tukey test and Spearman correlation analysis were used and p<0.05 level of significance was searched. According to our findings; significant dissimilarities were found between transformational leadership styles and ages. Furthermore, significant relationships were found between physical education teachers’ leadership styles and assertiveness.Keywords : leadership styles, assertiveness, physical education, teacher
