Abstract :This paper aims to portray the nature of interaction present in the mixture of ethyl butyrate with methanol and vinyl acetate by computing various thermodynamic parameters at 298.15 K. Excess thermodynamic properties correlated with Redlich–Kister polynomial equation reveals the extent of interaction present in the mixture. Acoustical relations giving the molecular radii of liquid mixtures suggest the change in structure with composition quite well. A comparative study of various empirical and semi-empirical relations such as Flory’s Statistical Theory, Goldsack and Sarvas, Sanchez theory etc. for predicting ultrasonic velocity of the mixtures with the experimental values have been done. Keywords : Flory statistical theory, ultrasonic velocity, thermodynamic parameters, Sanchez theory
