Abstract :In this research, \"The Effect of Teaching Game Method on Academic Achievement in Primary School Turkish Lesson\" was examined. With this research, it is aimed to affect the academic success of the game teaching method in primary school Turkish teaching. The importance of the research is that children can embody abstract concepts thanks to play, and they can provide permanent and meaningful learning because they play with love. This research is extremely important in terms of revealing the significant difference between the educational game-based teaching method of Turkish lesson and the traditional education method on student success. While the universe of the research consists of 4th grade students in Şanlıurfa, its sample is limited to 60 students in total, studying in 2 classes, 1 experimental and 1 control group, in which Turkish instruction was carried out. The research was organized according to the scanning model, and a personal information form and a student questionnaire were used as data collection tools. The information obtained by field scanning, what is the game, the characteristics of the game, the contribution of the game to the development of the child, the types of games, learning with games in Turkish teaching are given under the headings. As a result of the findings obtained as a result of the research; It was concluded that there was no significant difference on the academic achievements of the students in terms of gender, age, whether they had pre-school education or not, and their parents\' education and working status. When the test scores compiled after the method of teaching Turkish with games are examined, it is seen that the difference in scores between the experimental and control groups is statistically significant.
