Abstract :Harala / Garella Fortress is located in the modern-day village of Altınyazı, 25 km southwest of Uzunköprü in the province of Edirne, Eastern Thrace. The Fortress was in the territory of Plotinopolis / Pamphylon (Uzunköprü) during the Roman and Byzantine periods. In 1974, during some work for the construction of a water channel, a group of metal objects are said to have been found in the church ruins of Harala Fortress. The metal objects are all copper alloy (bronze) lighting devices and are now stored in Edirne Archaeological Museum. They were probably part of a larger group of lighting devices associated with the episcopal complex during the MidByzantine period. Keywords : Harala, Altınyazı, Kilise, Aydınlatma
