Abstract :Innovation is a multidimensional concept that includes different meanings and definitions shaped by the perspectives of different disciplines. Innovation refers to an umbrella concept that is not only technological, but also social, cultural, public, production-related, environmentalist, transformative, inclusive and evolutionary. Contrary to the classical definition in the economics literature in the 1960s, which focused only on the evolution of technology and technology in developed countries; innovation today draws attention for its surprising diversity accelerated by the growth of cross-industry collaboration. This study focuses on the epistemology of innovation and evaluates how innovation conceptually evolves along with the changing nature of society. It tries to understand the complex processes underlying the changing nature of innovation and to evaluate the network of new disciplines that enrich the content of the concept. Keywords : Innovation, transformation of innovation, epistemology, technological innovation
