Abstract :The article is dedicated to the history of Prussian consular representatives (a consul general, consuls, vice consuls and consular agents) in the port cities on the Southern Ukrainian frontier in the 19th century, mainly based on the base of the documents of Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Berlin). It aims at tracing back the transformations of the Prussian consular network in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov region in the aforementioned period. For this purpose, the article also covers the biographies of all 14 consular representatives of Prussia in Odessa, Kerch, Berdyansk and Villa St. Marino near Khotyn.Keywords : Frontier, Prussia, Russian Empire, Consulate, Port City
