Abstract :This article examines contemporary recognition debate. ‘Recognition debate’ is a term which refers to a political-philosophical exchange’ basically took place between Axel Honneth and Nancy Fraser. The main idea of the debate is to examine if concepts of Hegelian phenomenology such as ‘struggle for recognition’ is appropriate for understanding contemporary identity politics and is possible to reconcile categories of recognition and redistribution.
