Abstract :Land surface temperature is defined as the radiative surface temperature of the ground surface. Climate change and global warming cause an increase in the surface temperature, unlike the atmospheric temperature. Remote sensing and geographic information systems are very important in issues such as the detection and analysis of surface temperatures. Remote sensing and geographic information systems were used to determine the surface temperatures in the city center of Amasya. From the Landsat-5-Landsat-8 satellite images, the surface temperature was analyzed as 10-year periods between 1984-2021. Accordingly, the surface temperatures have increased since 1984. The warmest year was 2021. As a result, the changes in the surface temperatures and the increase in the surface temperature affect the urban climate negatively by causing the cities to be more suffocating and hot. It is recommended to make ecological urban designs from a geographical point of view. Keywords : Landsurface Temperature(LST), Landsat-5-Landsat-8, Global Warming, Geographic Information Systrems (GIS), Amasya
