Abstract :Objective: The aim of this study was to determining the premenstrual syndrome vıolence and perceped stress level in girls a high school. Study Design: The descriptive study, conducted in a high school in Sivas City Center, was conducted on 207 girls students. The data were collected with \"Student Information Form\", \"Premenstrual Syndrome Scale\" (PMSS), \"Perceived Stress Scale\" (PSS). Descriptive methods in the analysis of data, nonparametric tests in cases where variables are not normally distributed, post-hoc test was used to determine the difference between groups, and correlation test was used to determine the relationship between premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and perceived stress level. Results: 58.5% of the students participating in the research are aged 16 and over, 68.6% have regular menstruation. Considering the risk factors in the appearance of premenstrual symptoms, 94.7% of the students state that they consume sugary foods, 24.6% consume carbonated drinks and 46.4% exercise. In the premenstrual period, 78.3% of students have abdominal or groin pain, 65.2% low back pain, 44.9% skin problems, 51.7% fatigue, 51.2% emotional problems and 50.2% experience irritability. In coping with the symptoms, 35.3% of the students stated that they applied hot applications, 25.1% of them used drugs, 21.7% of them did not apply any of them and 18.8% of them did not know what to do to cope with the symptoms. According to the scale score that measures the severity of premenstrual symptoms, 50.7% of students have PMS symptoms. Age (p=0.005), class (p=0.030), income status (p=0.003), menstrual order (p=0.016), smoking (p=0.036), carbonated drink (p=0.001) and salt consumption (p=0.022) and a statistically significant relationship was found between experiencing PMS symptoms. The perceived stress level in 63.3% of the students tends to increase and age (p=0.002), class (p=0.002), menstrual order (p=0.001), carbonated beverage (p=0.015), drug use status (p=0.043) and there is a significant relationship between perceived stress level. In addition, a positive and moderately significant relationship was found between PMSS and PSS (p=0.00; r=0.578). Conclusion: The severity and perceived stress level of PMS symptoms are experienced in high school girls according to PMSS and PSS scores. As the severity of PMS symptoms increases, the perceived stress level increases. Keywords : Adolescent Girl Students, Premenstruel Syndrome, Perceived Stress
