Abstract :In this transcript of oral remarks, some of the key themes of our earlier works will be revisited -- especially "Convergence Culture: Where Old and New Media Collided”, but also "Spreadable Media: Creating Meaning and Value in a Networked Culture” and "By Any Media Necessary: The New Youth Activism”. From the earlier book, I return to such key concepts as convergence, transmedia storytelling, collective intelligence, and participatory culture, exploring what has shifted over the past fifteen plus years, and what new issues confront us as we move more deeply into an era defined by the collision between old and new media. Keywords : convergence, transmedia, storytelling, participatory culture, collective intelligence
