Abstract :The article discusses the state of trade and economic relations of the Central Asian countries - the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Turkmenistan. The integration of these countries is conditioned by objective prerequisites, such as: geographical proximity, common Soviet past, approximately the same level of economic development. According to many agreements, freedom of movement of goods, services, labor and capital was to be ensured between the countries, and a unified economic policy was to be implemented in all sectors of the economy. However, in practice, there are many problems that hinder the development of mutual trade. Digitalization could play a key role in the development of cross-country economic relations and border regions.
