Abstract :This paper analyzes the relation between institutional trust and subjective well-being. Ordered logistic regression were applied to data from the “Life in Kyrgyzstan” Survey for 2016. The results show that low trust in institutions negatively affects the personal well-being. It is associated with the worst institutional environment and ineffective functioning of institutions. The findings suggested that trust in schools and banks significantly increases the personal well-being.
