Abstract :Aim: Here, Chlorogenic acid (CA) was examined in intestinal ischemia reperfusion (I/R)-induced lung injury. Material and Methods: 4 experimental rat groups were created (n=8): sham, I/R and CA treatment groups. At the end of the experimental process, rats were immolated and lung tissues were excised. Results: Oxidant parameters increased and antioxidant activity declined in I/R group compared to sham group. CA treatments reversed these parameters. Discussion and Conclusion: Different doses of the CA prevented intestinal I/R-induced lung injury in experimental animals. Keywords : Intestinal ischemia/reperfusion, lung, Chlorogenic acid, oxidative stress, inflammation, rat
