Abstract :This study aims to analyze the attitudes of immigrants towards tourism development. The population of the study consists of immigrants living in Turkey. The study sample consists of 453 immigrants from seven regions of Turkey. The findings explain how migrants\' attitudes towards tourism development differ according to socio-demographic factors. The attitudes of immigrants towards the contribution of tourism to their quality of life were high. On the other hand, immigrants\' concerns about tourism development are low. Migrants\' attitudes towards tourism development show a partial difference depending on gender. According to this result, male immigrants perceive the contribution of tourism to their lives more positively. However, migrants\' concerns about tourism development show a statistically significant difference according to age and educational status. According to these results, it has been determined that the concern of highly educated immigrants towards the effects of tourism development is higher than that of immigrants with high school and lower educational backgrounds. Young migrants aged between 18 and 24 are more concerned about the effects of tourism development than older migrants. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in migrants\' attitudes toward tourism development based on geographical location, marital status, income and age. It is recommended that tourism planners raise awareness about the adaptation processes of immigrants to tourism destinations and distribute immigrants to these destinations by considering the carrying capacity of the destination.
