Abstract :Though Turkey has managed to remain neutral by not joining the Second World War, She has deeply affected from this war. Both during the war and after the war, the failed economic policies which applied and the harsh measures which taken in the period of governments of one-party rulership have been causing discontent and responses against the government in a large segment of the society. For a long time, altough The Republic of Turkey which governed with single party political system lived some experiences with the purpose of transition to multi-party system until 1945, could not be the desired result from this initiatives. After 1945, as a result of both domestic and external dynamics was carried out transition to a multiparty system and its permanence is provided in Turkey. If 1908-1911 circuit is left to one side, perhaps, no circuit of Turkish history was not to testify a visible political activity as well as between 1945-1950. For the Turkish democracy, in a way, We can accept the period 19451950 as the struggle of establishing a democracy of this nation’s pertinent to their needs and culture by blending their experiences and aspirations which comes from their history and democratic traditions with the philosophy and way of action of Western democracies.
