Abstract :The purpose in planing this investigation was to contribute to the speciation problems in genus Spalax. For this, we examined the activities of Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G-6-PD) and 6-Phosphogluconate Dehydrogenase (6-PGD) enzymes from the liver of Spalax samples taken from both sides of river Euphrates. The samples belonging to genus Spalax were separated into two populationsin the research area. The spesific activities of G-6-PD and 6-PGD enzymes were measured at 0.01 level of significance. The results were given in a table. The observed differences between the mean specific activities of te enzymes of the two populatons were discussed. Keywords : Spalax, Glucose-6-Phosphate and 6-Phosphogluconate Dehydrogenase activity, Speciation
