Abstract :This study was conducted to determine the effect of saline irrigation water applications on growth factors of tomato plant such as plant height, number of branch, flower and leaves, leaf area, plant stem diameter, plant root length. For this purpose, a research was conducted on 8354 F1 tomato variety using irrigation water of six different salt concentrations (EC = 500 dS/cm control, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 dS/cm), applying 75 % and 100 % of water need of plant, in randomized plots factorial experimental design with three replications under greenhouse conditions in Konya, in 2005 and 2006. At the end of the research, decreases in plant height (20% in 2005, 28 % in 2006), decreases in leaf area values, decreases in plant stem diameter (19%) by the increases of salinity of the irrigation water in both years. Particularly it affected leaf number to a 44% increase and a 9%decrease in 2006. Root length values increase with higher , salt concentrations of irrigation water. Some physical quality parameters of tomato plant were negatively affected with the use of high salinity water and limitations in amount of irrigation water. Keywords : Domates, sulama suyu tuzluluğu, bitki gelişimi
