Abstract :In this study, Autographa gamma (L.) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) was reared on crisp lettuce, alfalfa and drumhead cabbage and effects of these foods on the developmental time, adult longevity, reproduction, death ratio and size of the A. gamma were investigated. Experiments were carried out at 25±2 ºC temperature, 60-70% r.h. and 14:10 L/D time period. The shortest larval stage was observed on crisp lettuce (male 11.13±0.11 day; female 11.38±0.13 day) and the longest on alfalfa (male 15.95±0,20 day; female 15.68±0.19 day). The shortest pupal stage was observed in drumhead cabbage (male 5.94±0.14 day; female 5.41±0.11 day) and the longest in alfalfa (male 7.20±0.09 day; female 7.00±0.00 day). The shortest adult longevity was on the crisp lettuce (13.60±0.79 day). The shortest pre-oviposition and oviposi-tion periods were observed on crisp lettuce (2.63±0.18 day; 9.88±0.44 day); alfalfa and drumhead cabbage, these time periods showed almost equal effectivity to each other. There was no significant difference in the total number of depos-ited eggs, sex ratio, larval developmental ratio and pupal length among different foods. Adult emergence ratio was high in alfalfa, drumhead cabbage, while in crisp lettuce it was low. The least weight of pupa was on alfalfa (male 144.6±4.58 mg; female 149.5±3,86 mg). The shortest adult length was on alfalfa. The wing span of the adults reared on alfalfa and drumhead cabbage were smaIl.Keywords : Autographa gamma, biyoloji, gelişim, besinler
