Abstract :Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia var. Super A) has been conventionally cultivated for its essential oil on a area of over 2500 da in Keçiborlu - Kuyucak village of Isparta province. But there hasn’t a comprehensive research about essential oil characteristics of Kuyucak lavandins. Therefore, the research was carried out with the aim to determine the essential oil characteristics of Kuyucak lavandins. Samples were taken from the best represents the 4 different lavandin fields at full blooming period. Among the essential oil rates, statistically significant differences were observed. The highest fresh stem flower and dry stem-less flower essential oil ratio (2.35 and 8.60 %, respectively) was determined from field No.2, the lowest essential oil ratio (2.24 and 7.50 %, respectively) was obtained from field No.4. Lavandin essential oil compound predominantly contained linalool (34.3 - 54.6 %), linalyl acetate (22.0 - 29.0 %), borneol (1.6 - 6.7 %) and camphor (1.2-6.0 %). Kuyucak lavandins contained high essential oil rate, but contained higher camphor ratio than the upper limit of 1.2% according to the European Pharmacopoeia. So, it is thought that there is a low essential oil quality problem in Kuyucak lavandins. Keywords : Lavanta, uçucu yağ oranı, uçucu yağ kompozisyonu
