Abstract :The present study was conducted in order to determine the highest mycorrhizal infection rates in onion plant through the inoculation of five different types of mycorrhizae (Glomus mossea, Glomus deserticola, Glomus caledonium, Glomus intraradice ve Glomus clustroforme), which are known to be microbiological fertilizers, to onion cultivated in a sand medium containing naturally added organic matter. Different infection rates were determined in onion plants which were cultivated under the same conditions but inoculated with five different types of mycorrhizae. Among the spores, the highest infection rate was observed in the plant roots inoculated with Glomus deserticola. Statistically significant differences were also observed regarding certain other growth parameters and macro and micro nutritional elements measured in the plants depending on the types of inoculated mycorrhizal spores (P<0.01 and P<0.05).Keywords : Mikoriza, spor türü, soğan, infeksiyon oranı
