Abstract :This research was conducted on the 260 samples from 16 district of Konya city in 2003 and 2005 years in order to determine the bunt infectious incidence in the wheat product harvested in Konya. The bunt infectious incidence, presence of grain infected with bunt and bunt chlamydospore presence in wheat grains were the essential parameters determined. The samples infected with bunt was determined by macroscobically examining with respect to grain infected with bunt. Infection with bunt chlamydospores were also observed by using seed washing method. Seed washing test revealed that 26.15 and 23.07 % of wheat seed samples collected in 2003 and 2005 years, respectively was determined to be infected with bunt (Tilletia spp.). According to the results from the test for presence of grain infected with bunt, 21 of 130 samples (16.15 %) was determined to be infected with the disease in 2003, while only 6 of 130 (4.61 %) samples was determined to be infected in 2005. The highest incidence of bunt infection (50 %) was observed in the samples collected from Akşehir, Kadınhanı and Selcuklu districts in 2003 while the highest incidence (50 %) was observed in the samples from Seydişehir and Kadınhanı districts. The number of chlamydospore was determined to range between 133-7464 and 133-3800 per seed in 2003 and 2005 years, respectively. Keywords : Bulaşıklılık, Buğday, Konya, Sürme Hastalığı
