Abstract :In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of irrigation water with different salt concentrations, on the water con-sumption and some yield parameters of tomato. For this purpose, a research was conducted using irrigation water of six different salt concentrations (EC = 500 µmhos/cm control, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 µmhos/cm), applying 75 % and 100 % of water need of plant, selecting 8354 F1 tomato variety, in randomized plots factorial experimental design with three replications under greenhouse conditions in Konya, in 2005 and 2006. At the end of the research, as salinity of the irrigation water was increased, fruit number and weight, so yield decreased in the rate of reaching to 41 %, and diameter became small. It was concluded that decreasing of the amount of irrigation water with high salt content affected negatively the yield and quali-ty parameters and plant growth. At the end of the research, it was found that the seasonal water consumption of tomato was 829.57 mm. Salinity was occurred rapidly at a rate of up to 400 % in soil in some treatment. Keywords : Domates, sulama suyu tuzluluğu, verim.
