Abstract :In this study, subsurface drainage systems was monitored and the source of excess water, drain flows, level of water table and its fluctuating along the year was investigated. The highest drain flows in system occurred during the wheat irrigation season. It was appeared that the source of excess water is due to irrigation waters in place of rainfalls during wheat irrigation season. The mean and median of drain flows changed from 1.10 to 2.70, and 3.30-2.80 mm d-1, respectively. In general, the drain flows are higher than the design discharge 3.0 mm d-1. The water table fluctuated all years during the irrigation season and it was about or under drain pipe level during off seasons. The mean and median water table depth values changed between 128-157 cm and 133-162 cm from soil surface, respectively. As an indicator for excessive wetness the probability of water table rising up to 0.30 m was determined between 0.2% and 6.7% and the probability of the water table reaching 1.0 m depth was about 20-58.5%. Drainage intensity factor was determined between 0.35-0.40 d-1. In addition water table dropped below the root zone in 3-4 days. Keywords : Yüzeyaltı drenaj, Su tablası, Drenaj katsayısı, Drenaj şiddeti
