Abstract :In this research the concentrations and vertical distribution of 42 elements in five soil profiles developed on lime stone in semiarid region were investigated. Some physical, chemical and morphological properties were also determined Most of the elements were determined to be very little or trace amount in parent material and the most of elements have shown little enrichment and depletion, indicating a low degree of weathering. It was found that decalcification in profiles 1. 2., 3. and 5. is moderate while decalcification in profile 4 is low. Although mobile elements of Na, Sr, Ca, Mg were enriched in surface hori-zons because of biocycling and leaching at the weathering processes, some monovalant (Rb, K), divalant (Zn, Pb, Co ) and trivalent, tetravalent, pentavalant cations such as Ga, V, Zr, U, Th, Ti, Nb and rare earth elements ( La, Ce, Pe, Nd, Sr, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu ) were accumulated in subsurface horizons and enriched especially in clay fraction because of their relations with clay and Fe-oxide minerals. Keywords : Majör, Minör, Nadir Toprak Elementleri, Dikey Dağılım, Toprak Oluşumu
