Abstract :This research was carried out to determine the effects of municipal waste treatment sludge and nitrogen applied at differ-ent levels on calcareous soil properties such as reaction (pH), electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter (OM), total N, available P, cation exchange capacity (CEC) and exchangeable K, NH4+ and NO3-. Factorial experimental design was planned in field conditions. Six different sludge levels (0, 300, 600, 1200, 2400 and 4800 kg da-1) and four levels (0, 3, 6 and 9 kg N da-1) of a nitrogenous fertilizer (urea, 46 % N) were applied. Waste treatment sludge applications influenced both pH, EC, CEC levels and OM, N, P, K and NO3- amounts. NH4+ was not significantly affected by the applications. Nitrogen applications resulted in increases only in total N content of the soil. After evaluating two-year applications of sludge and nitrogen, years were found as an influencing factor on the parameters. Year did not change the soil’s pH and CEC values. However, it affected EC, OM, total N, available P, NO3- and exchangeable P amounts. Two-way and there-way interactions were also determined for the study. According to the analyses, "year x nitrogen” and "year x sludge” interactions were important only for changes in the nitrogen content of the soil and potassium content of the soil, respectively. Interactions for "nitrogen x sludge” and "year x nitrogen x sludge” had not statistically significant in terms of the soil parameters studied soil properties. Keywords : Arıtma çamuru, azotlu gübre, kireçli toprak, toprak özellikleri .
