Abstract :This research has been conducted under Konya ecological conditions to determine the effect of nitrogen and zinc applied in diffe-rent doses on the yield and yield components of fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill var.dulce) in Experimental Farm of Field Crop De-partment, Agriculture Faculty, Selcuk University, in 2003. Experiment was designed based on”Randomized Factorial Plot Design” with three replications of the sets nitrogen (0, 5, 10 and 15 kg/da) and zinc (0, 250, 500 and 750 gr/da) fertilizer with different doses. In this research, seed yield, essential oil rate and yield were found between 13.7-25.4 kg/da, 2.9-3.2 %, and 0.4-0.7 kg/da, res-pectively. Avarage values for other the characters were as fallows; emergence period is 17.3-24.0 days, lenght of plants 51.7-64.0 cm, seed yield per plant is 0.8-1.7 g, weight of thousand seed is 8.0-9.2 g, number of brunch per plant is 3.1-4.8, number of seed per plant is 98.8-193.6 and harvest index is 3.4-7.9 %. While the highest seed yield was obtained from the control group (25.4 kg/da) that nitro-gen and zinc has not been applied, the lowest seed yield was from the group (13.7kg/da) that received 15kg/da nitrogen and 750 g/da zinc. The highest and lowest essential oil ratios were from the group of 15kg/da nitrogen, 500 g/da zinc (% 3.2), and 5 kg/da nitrogen and 500 g/da zinc (% 2.9), respectively. Essential oil yield was found in the plots in which seed yield was also the highest. Keywords : Rezene, Foenicilum vulgare, gübreleme, verim, uçucu yağ
