Abstract :In this study, the effects of zinc sulphate (0, 10, 20 and 30 kg ZS ha-1) and gibberellic acid (0, 10, 50 and 250 mg GA3 L-1) applications in the increasing doses on the yield and yield components of lettuce grown in a Zn deficient soil have been investigated. According to the results, the highest yield was obtained in the 30 kg ZS ha-1 application, the highest N, P, K of the leaf was got in the 250 mg GA3 L-1, and the highest Zn content of the leaf was found in the 50 mg GA3 L-1 application. Generally the combined application of 30 kg ZS ha-1 into the soil and 50 mg GA3 L-1 to the leaf, significantly increased the yield and yield parameters of the plant according to their individual applications. Only the effects of ZS doses on the question components were greater than the effects of only GA3 doses. On the other hand, while the effects of combined applications of 30 kg ZS ha-1 and 250 mg GA3 L-1 on the N, P, K contents of the leaf were higher, the effects of combined applications of 30 kg ZS ha-1and 50 mg GA3 L-1 on the leaf Zn content were higher. In addition, while the Zn concentration of the leaf (61,10 mg kg-1) increased in the rate of 84% by only ZS application compared to the control (33,14 mg kg-1), it increased in the rate of 45% with only GA3 application. The highest increasing (123%) in the Zn concentration of the leaf was obtained by the combined application of the 30 kg ZS ha-1 and 50 mg GA3 L-1.Keywords : Çinko, Gibberellik Asit, Marul, Verim
