The Aphid (Homoptera: Aphidoidea) Species in Alaeddin Keykubat Campus Area of Selçuk University

Abstract :This study was carried out to determine of the Aphidoidea species in Alaeddin Keykubat Campus area of Selçuk Universi-ty, Konya, Turkey in 2004. Except poplar, all plant species in survey area were sampled at least weekly in May-November and aphid specimens colonising on them were collected. As a result; totally 44 different plants were obtained as aphid host. From Aphididae family, belong to Aphidinae, Chaitophorinae, Lachninae, Myzocallidinae and Pemphiginae subfamilies, 9 tribus, 19 genus, 29 species and 2 subspecies were determined. In addition, four samples were identificated only in genus level. Of these species, Aphis craccivora Koch, A. gossypii Glover and Brevicoryne brassicae (Linnaeus) were the common and showing the longest host list in the survey area, respectively.Keywords : Aphidoidea, yaprakbiti, Selçuk Üniversitesi Alaeddin Keykubat Kampüsü, Konya, Türkiye
