Abstract :This research has been conducted to determine the highest yielding and quality pop corn varieties under Karaman ecolog-ical conditions and to examine the yield and quality components of pop corn varieties in 2003. In this research which designed in a "Randomized Complete Block” with four replications, 12 pop corn varieties were used. In this research, were changed between for popping volume 18.5 cm3/g (Konya Pop) – 35.25 cm3/g (ZP 611 K), rate of unpopped kernels 2.42 % ( 85 Ant 2503 x 72.11) - 9.9 % (85 Ant 2503 x Sarı T.), kernel size 57.25 number/10 g (Konya Pop) – 87.25 number/10 g (NS-620), grain protein rate 9.00 % (Koç Kompozit) - 11.34 % (Bahar P-618), 1000 grain weight 114.68 g (NS-620) – 175.93 g (Konya Pop), hectoliter weight 78.73 kg (85 Ant 2503 x Sarı T.) – 86.19 kg (NS-620) delicious test 0.75 (Bahar P-621) – 6.5 (Nermin Cin, Konya ve Karaman Pop), grain yield 499.5 kg/da (Mr. Kelly) – 753.5 kg/da (Bahar P-621). In this research, it was recommend that "Koç Kompozit”, "Ant Cin – 98”, "NS-620”, "ZP 611 K”, "85 Ant 2503 x 72.11”, "Bahar P-618”, "Bahar P-621” and "Nermin Cin” popcorn varieties can be grown for high yielding and quality under Central Anatolia ecological conditions.Keywords : Cin mısır, tane verimi, patlama hacmi, kalite
