Abstract :This study was conducted out to investigate the amount of boron in different soil fractions and correlation between these fractions and soil properties on 19 soil samples, having different physical and chemical characteristics, taken from Konya Plain. The boron fractions in these soils were defined as follows: I) readily soluble B (KÇ-B), II) specifically adsorbed B (SPA-B), III) manganese oxyhydroxides bound B (MOH-B), IV) amorphous Fe And Al oxides bound B ( AMO-B), V) crystalline Fe And Al oxides bound B (KRO-B), VI) organically bound B (OB-B), VII) residual B (RES-B). To determine readily soluble boron, five different extraction solutions; Hot Water (HW), 0.01M CaCl2, 1M NH4-Acetate, 0.005M DTPA and 0.1M KCl were used. The other boron fractions in the soils were non-sequentially calculated according to the readily soluble boron amounts extracted by each of different extraction solutions. Readily soluble boron values were composed of only a minor part of total boron ranging averagely from 2.89 % to 4.91 %. While the highest readily soluble B rate was extracted as 4.91 % with 1M NH4- Acetate followed 0.005M DTPA by with 4.63 %, 0.01M CaCl2 with 3.95 % and HW with 3.67 % and the lowest rate of readily soluble B was determined as 2.89 % with 0.1M KCl. On average, SPA-B, MOH-B, OB-B, AMO-B, KRO-B fractions were composed of 8.10 %, 5.26 %, 5.48 %, 17.96 % and 10.84 % of total B rate, respectively. RES-B fraction was composed of the highest rate of total boron with an average of 48.35 %. Although significant correlations were found between the boron fractions and the EC and Na values of the soils, the correlations between the boron fractions and other soil characteristics were found to be insignificant. Keywords : Bor fraksiyonları, bor ekstraksiyonu, kolay çözünebilir B, adsorbe edilmiş B, bağlanmış B
