Abstract :The research based up more comfortable sheltering conditions for dairy cattle and alternative dairy herd barn was designed. The design of building was considered or argued the follow up concept which animals rear on unstressed physical environment, building suitability for control of climatic environment in every season and facilities of barn for high quality labour management for feeding and manure handling systems. The paved lot area found between two barns was planed to be used in winter, hence air flow was reduced in this area. In addition, the large dirt lot areas were planed sideward of main buildings for use in summer season. Animal density in bedding, paved and dirt lot areas were found as 5.0 m2/animal, 5.3 m2/animal and 23.8 m2/animal in the designed house, respectively.Keywords : Serbest duraklı süt sığırı barınağı, hava hızı kontrolü
