Abstract :The study was conducted in 68 poultry house, which had different construction and capacity in Konya. The planning types of 65 building were cage house and 3 building were slatted floor house. The stocking density of houses were 20 – 35 hen / m2 in majority of buildings. The thermal conductivity of poultry houses varied from 0.74 kcal / m2 oC h to 1.00 kcal / m2 oC h in most buildings. Maximum ventilation rate of laying hens reduced when stocking density increased in poultry houses. Ventilation rate of layers were 13.9 – 16.5 m3 / h in low stocking density while it changed between 8.0 m3 / h hen and 10.0 m3 / h hen in high stocking density. There was found a relation between ventilation rate of laying hens and thermal conductivity of buildings in summer. Ventilation rate of layers were decreased by lower thermal conductivity of buildings. Keywords : kümes, havalandırma, yerleşim sıklığı, ısı geçirgenliği
